Does the Qamar Trust have any salaried staff?

The Trust does not employ any staff and has never done so. The Trust is operated by volunteers and even the Trustees offer their services on a voluntary basis. No money is spent on wages or commission.

Does all the cash donated to the Qamar Trust reach the beneficiaries?

The Trust has a 100% donation policy. This means that every penny is dedicated and expended directly on beneficiaries. None of the donated funds are used for any other cost.

How do your volunteers cover the cost of travel, administration and compliance?

The Trust utilises support from volunteers themselves as well as gift aid funds that are deemed to be a gift in the Shariah. This ensures that our 100% donation policy remains intact.

How can we be sure that the use of Zakat, Lillah and Sadaqah funds are in line with the Shariah?

The distribution of the Trust’s donated funds is overseen by qualified Islamic scholars who approve the Trust’s projects and assure the expenditure so that every penny is utilised in a legitimate way.
